The Arctic Monkeys have announced plans for their third full length album, due out on August 24th, 2009. It will be available on both CD and download via Domino Records.

The yet to be named album was recorded by QOTSA member Josh Homme in the Mojave Desert and James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco in Brooklyn.

They'll headline the Reading and Leeds festivals on August 28-30, right after the album comes out.
