Robin Thicke [feat. Jay-Z]

Nov 9, 2009

robin thicke jay z meiple Robin Thicke feat. Jay Z Meiple (Me I Play)

This winter season seems nothing short of suprising musical collaborations. On this featured track, soulful crooner Robin Thicke has teamed up with none than Jay Hova himself. The uptempo jam, which will appear on Thicke’s upcoming album “Sex Therapy”, represents a rather experimental but successful venture for both artists.

Check out the song here. “Sex Therapy” is due on December 15th.

English alternative band, Radiohead reemerges onto the music scene to confirm this new single as one of their own. Just a few days prior, the record made it’s way around the internet leaving much speculation, but now it’s confirmed as the group officially releases the song via Wasteshop. Entitled, “These Are My Twisted Words” the song is vocal-free and highlights Radiohead’s trademark unconvential yet abstract style. Check it out.

65daysofstatic

65daysofstatic's Paul Wolinski tore up The Social, Monday night, June 22nd in London. This grindy ass kicking electro set featured everything from an awesome remix of the band's own "WK4" to Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold" and "Just Like Heaven" mashup.

Anyone who can pull that off without sounding like a complete tool deserves a plug. 65 Days' new live album + DVD "Escape from New York" is out now on Monotreme.

DJ Shadow

May 27, 2009

Today we get the entire musical youth of DJ Shadow box-set entitled The 4-Track Era Bundle, featuring early noise through a now defunct medium that we all still love deep down...

To most of us, DJ Shadow is a mind without a past. Everything he touched became a timeless piece, the demonstration of his powers beginning with 1996’sEndtroducing, an album that quickly became the soundtrack to the lives of many. While we often consider it his first full excursion into sampling production (in fact, it was the world’s first album composed entirely of samples), there was once a young Shadow; one who idolized influences and struggled with his own expressions just like any other artist. Pre-order now available through amazon.
