Creativity does not abide by the the roman calendar and Ski is at one with creativity. You put out good stuff last year, you put out good stuff this year, all that changes is the timestamp on the photograph. Tokyo’s super Hip Hop group Teriyaki Boyz have prepared a new track featuring none other than Jay-Z himself off their new album Delicious Japanese. Entitled Living The Life the cut offers a raw Hip Hop beat and clever raps. Even if Jay’s verse has been taken from Timbaland’s Give It To Me (Laff At ‘Em Remix) it is still worth a listen. Lil' Wayne - Drop The World
For the latest leak off of his upcoming rock venture Rebirth Lil’ Wayne recruits none other than the freshly chosen artist of the decade himself – Eminem. Drop The World is the eventual collaboration between them two that has been announced a long time go. Luckily, it was worth the wait as both artists deliver convincing lyrics over a dope beat crafted by Hit Boy and ChaseNCashe of the Surf Club. This should easily increase the anticipation for Weezy’s new longplayer so be prepared to rewind this banging track.Rebirth is set to be released February 1st.

Gorillaz [announce new album]
Two and a half years ago Damon Albarn himself stated in the pages of NME that there would be no more music to come from the virtual monkey band known as the Gorillaz. Jamie Hewlett also agreed with Damon adding that he’s sick of drawing the characters themselves. However, it seems they both have had a change of heart, and have already revealed details of an upcoming Gorillaz album, which will feature the musical talents of Mos Def, Lou Reed, Barry Gibb, Snoop Dogg and even Bobby Womack. They’ve also even gone as far to tell us the name of the new album, which will be called Plastic Beach. Albarn quotes that “This is the most pop record I’ve ever made in many ways.” We’ll have to wait until March to find out just how poppy it is.

30 Seconds to Mars [Hurricane]

Initially announced back in April, Kanye West’s latest includes a collaboration effort alongside Jared Leto’s 30 Seconds to Mars, on the track Hurricane, set to be featured within the upcoming 30 Seconds to Mars album “This Is War.” The cut follows a familiar heartbreak sound from the band with Kanye’s assistance coming in an auto tune-infused performance. “This is War” drops on December 8th, 2009.

Vampire Weekend [Cousins]

New York-based indie rock band Vampire Weekend present the video to the first single Cousins off their upcoming second album Contra. In the Garth Jennings-directed clip the band take us on a trip up and down – and vice versa – a long alley matching perfectly the manically festive, church-belled racer. Contrais scheduled to be released on January 11 via XL Recordings.

Lilofee [7" release]
San Francisco based electro rock outfit, LILOFEE, are set to release a 7" with Echo Park's Origami Vinyl and Los Angeles based Future Sounds Records on December 1st. The 7" will feature the single, "Runaway" with a b-side, "In Flight".
Lilofee's first full length - 'The Only Years' - will be released early in 2010.
The San Francisco duo, composed of Rob Easson and Kimi Recor, met through friends in 2007 and bonded over their mutual interest in dark pop, industrial music, and the Beatles. As Recor says, "the first time we played music together, we didn't leave the studio for 15 hours." The band has already shared the stage with Hercules & Love Affair, Sebastien Tellier, and opened for Deerhunter at this year's Noise Pop Music Festival in San Francisco.
